Painful intercourse

Did you know intercourse is NOT supposed to be painful? However, many individuals still experience pain and do not have resources to help them. There are many reasons sex may be painful:

  • Endometriosis

  • PCOS

  • Scar tissue

  • Hormone changes

  • Lubrication changes

  • Fear

  • Trauma

  • Overactive muscles

  • Changes in nerve function

  • & many more

You do not have to be alone in this journey. Pelvic floor physical therapy can help provide you or someone you know the tools to help decrease pain with sex.
